Basecamp venison salami are handmade and naturally smoked. Our venison salami are produced from wild free range venison and are gluten and dairy free.
Finished fresh weight: 750 – 780 grams. Basecamp salamis are wood smoked (not boiled like many commercial salami products) so as they age they loose moisture, the texture firms up and the flavour is enhanced. Basecamp salamis are recommended within 4-6 weeks of manufacture but many of our customers prefer to age their salamis longer than this resulting in a smaller, firmer more mature salami.
Basecamp salamis are great fresh for platters, pizzas and sandwiches. Aged salamis, as they loose moisture, and develop a firmer texture are also amazing in pasta dishes, salads, pizzas and any meal you want to add flavour.
